For this project I contacted multiple people I thought would be essential to this project that unfortunately didn't make it into the video, people like Luke Spivey, Tim Brown, and others. I was in contact with all of these people and had long conversation about small business with both mentioned above and a few more. These contacts taught me more than the interviews but for various reasons, whether they are out of state, or didn't feel comfortable being on camera. To have these conversations, I met business owners across the state, from San Dimas California this year, or last year hiking to the top of half-dome in Yosemite with Tim Brown, and talking about the freedom of being your own boss.
I also wanted to attach my interview questions which I used for the interviews both on camera and off.
What is your current business, and how did you decide it was a business that you wanted to start? Why did you decide to start a business instead of following a 9 to 5 career option? How many businesses have you started over your lifetime? What would be your main advice to someone who is graduating from high school, or college, who wants to be an entrepreneur? What is the biggest advantage of working for yourself? What is the biggest drawback of working for yourself? What type of person would you encourage to start a business?
First Draft of the video and my idea behind it is also included bellow;
